Imagine walking into a massive marketplace where the signs are misleading, products are stacked in the wrong aisles, and the only way to find what you need is by wandering aimlessly or asking around. Frustrating, right? That was the exact experience users faced on Shopurban’s platform.

Shopurban set out to empower local businesses with digital commerce capabilities, but there was one major roadblock—product categorization was a mess. Vendors struggled to classify their products correctly, buyers couldn’t find what they needed, and the entire product discovery experience felt like an endless scavenger hunt.

As the Product & UX Designer, my mission was clear: simplify product categorization, enhance discoverability, and transform frustration into frictionless shopping.
